Hi, I’m Heidi, creator of Creative Core 101.

​

Creativity has been a lifelong journey for me, one that has evolved through sewing, art, handmade projects, paper crafts, journaling, design, teaching, and learning to trust the creative process itself.

​

Creative Core 101 was created as a space where creativity feels welcoming, approachable, and meaningful. A place where people of all ages and skill levels can explore art and making without feeling intimidated or pressured to be perfect.

I believe creativity is something we carry throughout every stage of life. Sometimes it simply needs encouragement, time, curiosity, and space to grow again.

​

Through this site, I share creative concepts, beginner-friendly instruction, hands-on projects, inspiration, and lessons learned through my own artistic journey. My goal is to help others reconnect with the joy of creating, whether through fabric, paper, paint, mixed media, journaling, sewing, or simple creative exploration.

Creative Core 101 is built around the idea that creative principles can flow across many different media. You do not need expensive supplies, formal training, or natural talent to begin creating. You only need a willingness to start.
